Bread and butter pudding is my second favourite pudding (after creme brulee of course), and I don’t really think it needs improving. So it was disappointing to read Lorraine saying “I wasn’t really a fan of bread and butter pudding …” So Lorraine is definitely fallible in her tastes.

I think this is the simplest soup I’ve ever made, and I can’t imagine making anything simpler in the future. Unless it was just water, which would be stretching the definition of soup a little.

I never thought I would make my own pasta. It seemed a bit of a waste of time unless you make a filling too. But I have honestly been converted (I think). It’s pretty easy, and the sight of pasta hanging around the kitchen is very fulfilling!
